In the central section is a small rectangular window with an arched roof. Under it is a small pillar adorned by and topped by a Star of David. On the rear section is a long and narrow silver cover which opens on a hinge and is intended to protect the parchment of the mezuzah.

There are two examples similar to this in the research literature. It seems that this mezuzah was directly influenced by the last example.
